Healers have no saintly haloes over their heads. No super powers either. They’re just people who’ve faced unimaginable depths of pain and have emerged knowing that NO ONE ELSE should have to face what they did alone. They make it their mission to help ease the suffering of others. Healers offer a hand in tough times. Endless tissues to wipe away the tears. And a heart that feels the pain sometimes too much. Healers learn that compassion and care doesnt mean absorbing what you’re going through it means genuinely caring for the suffering of another understanding fully well that the patient is in full charge of his or her own karma and in no way can the healer interfere with it. Its energy working at subtle levels yet respecting the boundary of the individual. – Mita Bhan “Excerpts from Meditation”
