Power of Silence

kitten
“Silence can change the personality of an individual. Through silence a person controls anger and speech. One grows stronger through greater determination and self-confidence. One is more at peace and free of tension. There is conservation of energy and a person experiences greater inner strength.”  Chanakya Niti

Somethings happened to the phone lines – my line appears to be “unreachable”, only messaging and whatsapp appears to be working. I’ve had to reschedule telephonic readings, message friends and family who’ve called and to experience the bliss of a completely silent morning and afternoon.

It’s been nearly 7 hours since I last spoke and I’m loving it:) It’s allowed me to connect with my innermost self and draw deeply from a limitless source of pure energy. I guess the past few days had been hectic and my body needed to have a day of absolute ssssshhhh to recharge:)

My son is calling out for me from somewhere. Should I reply or appear with a scribbled note saying “yes?”

Messages from Mother Nature, Nature Speaks

I’ve been keeping my senses open to Mother Nature now consciously more than ever. My teachers have taught me to listen with my eyes, feel with my ears, touch with my heart and tune into what I hear. Here goes:)

raindropsonleaf

Rain – the most natural detox on this planet, where every thing and everyone is given the opportunity to purify and renew and rejoice –

Rainyflowerpot

The plants were laughing in the rain like preschoolers in a pool.

sea

The Sea doesn’t judge you. You are perfect as you are. Black, white, rich or poor, gay or straight, here there. Be like the sea, let every experience just flow.

budsinthe mud

Pleasant surprises are everywhere – in the crack of the muddy pavement, even after a storm.

And on that happy note, I wish you a day full of pleasant surprises!

Communicating with Mother Nature – 1

Communicating with nature

trinitytrees

Mother Nature speaks to us in so many ways. But we’re so lost in our thoughts we never pay attention to her. Rather like the way we behave with our own moms. Knowing that their words are for our highest good, but not really paying attention to them.

After a recent workshop I attended on communicating with Nature, I’ve learnt to keep all my senses open when I meditate outdoors. Sitting on the grass, surrounded by trees and bushes, it’s like an invitation to an exclusive event where I have the privilege to mingle with the wisest and the most ancient beings who are unbelievably generous with their support and wisdom.

Everytime I tune into Nature during meditation I emerge with a sense of clarity, a greater purpose and a quiet determination that reminds me I cannot die without doing something for our environment and our animals.

We’ve done enough damage to the Earth and all its creatures. Time to step in, heal, speak out and preserve Mother Nature, don’t you think? Treemeditation1
