inHave you ever met someone who always says “It’s not my fault” and justifies their behaviour and actions by blaming their parents, their boss, their environment but never themselves.
Have you ever known someone who disappears when it’s time for them to help out in their duties towards their family. They give a lame excuse for not being around when they are needed or they simply switch off their phones knowing very well their child is sick, or their spouse needs their emotional support.
Or the person who floods the WhatsApp group with messages with what’s wrong in the condominium, pointing fingers while never once offering to help, take charge or most importantly do something about a problem?
What is it about responsibility that scares so many people? Why do they view it as a burden? Doesn’t it come as part and parcel of being free, isn’t it part of the process of becoming an adult in an interdependent society? Is it something we teach our children? Or are some of us just born more responsible than others? But before all that, don’t we first need to be responsible for ourselves, our states of mind, our thoughts and actions? Is that the starting point? If I am not at peace with myself, how can I bring peace to others?
“When you think everything is someone’s fault, you will suffer a lot. When you realize that everything springs only from yourself, you will learn both peace and joy” Dalai Lama

A frail old man went to live with his son, daughter-in-law, and four-year-old grandson. The old man’s hands trembled, his eyesight was blurred, and his step faltered. The family ate together at the table. But the elderly grandfather’s shaky hands and failing sight made eating difficult. Peas rolled off his spoon onto the floor. When he grasped the glass, milk spilled on the tablecloth.
The son and daughter-in-law became irritated with the mess. “We must do something about father,” said the son. “I’ve had enough of his spilled milk, noisy eating, and food on the floor.” So the husband and wife set a small table in the corner. There, Grandfather ate alone while the rest of the family enjoyed dinner. Since Grandfather had broken a dish or two, his food was served in a wooden bowl! When the family glanced in Grandfather’s direction, sometimes he had a tear in his eye as he sat alone. Still, the only words the couple had for him were sharp admonitions when he dropped a fork or spilled food.
The four-year-old watched it all in silence.
One evening before supper, the father noticed his son playing with wood scraps on the floor. He asked the child sweetly, “What are you making?” Just as sweetly, the boy responded, “Oh, I am making a little bowl for you and Mama to eat your food in when I grow up.” The four-year-old smiled and went back to work.
The words so struck the parents so that they were speechless. Then tears started to stream down their cheeks. Though no word was spoken, both knew what must be done.
That evening the husband took Grandfather’s hand and gently led him back to the family table. For the remainder of his day, he ate every meal with the family. And for some reason, neither husband nor wife seemed to care any longer when a fork was dropped, milk spilled, or the tablecloth soiled.

In the blink of the eye, everything has changed. Ways of working, technology, beliefs, attitudes, and most importantly our consciousness. Have you noticed how much you have changed in the past 3 years? Do you feel a difference in your attitudes towards life? A levelling up of sorts? How much more aware you have become of yourself, your relationships and most importantly your calling on this planet? It’s almost like mankind has begun to tune itself to a higher frequency.
Where the old ways no longer exist and now, we step into who we truly are and who we are all meant to be.
This week’s cards reveals to us that the process of awakening has begun. We’re far more aware of ourselves than we’ve ever been. The old ways no longer exist. And the new ways are forming. Many souls will find themselves dissatisfied with their current circumstances. There’s a restlessness that’s growing in many who feel trapped and know that this is no longer what they want. Many will search for alternatives, giving up stable jobs to try something different and new. Relationships may go through a sea change as one of you seeks change or freedom.
Meditation and introspection will bring forth answers. Now is the perfect time to get to know your self, weigh your actions and see to it that they are in line with your values and beliefs. You may know what you don’t want, but you still need to find out what your soul wants. And remember all the answers lie within us all.

inoday’s Tarot reminds us of the power of silence and just how important it is to have some real quiet time for ourselves on a daily basis. And it doesn’t necessarily have to be in meditation. Maybe it’s just putting the phone on silent. Or refusing to engage with someone who’s looking for a fight. Or simply wasting time. Speech May be silver but silence is pure gold⭐️Share this with someone who needs to hear it.

inHappy Mothers Day to all the mothers, grandmothers, stepmoms, foster moms, pet moms and all the mothers who are no longer with us in person.
Probably the hardest job in the world and completely irreplaceable, we all owe a lot to our moms for all that they have done for us. A lesson I only learnt when I became a mom and truly understood the value of all that my own mom had done for me and taught me and continues to do so.
Wishing everyone a week full of love and peace.

Don’t hyper focus on what’s going wrong. Shift to what’s going right.
You know that tiny little nagging voice of worry that sometimes crops up?
The “what if” thought that gnaws at us sometimes keeping us awake. Sometimes pops up in our quiet moments. Well it’s time to either address it, replace it with a positive thought or understand that these tiny anxious moments are natural. Point is not to live with the little worries nor let them ruin our day. Zoom out.
Ask yourself, “Will this matter 5 years from now?” “Is this something that’s within my control that requires deep thought or isn’t and requires moving on instead?” “What can I learn from this situation?” “Is whatever that’s upsetting me being blown out of proportion?” Wishing you peace
