One Sufi mystic was so full of love, and so full of joy – his whole life was laughter, music, dancing. And the story says God became very interested in him because he never asked anything, he never prayed. His whole life was a prayer, there was no need to pray.

“I have watched you and I have loved you. This is the way: you have become the prayer. You are, right now, my only argument in the world that something more than man exists – although you have never argued, you have not even uttered my name. Those are superfluous things… but you live, you love, you are so full of joy that there is no need for any language; your very presence becomes the argument for my existence. I want to give you a blessing. You can ask for anything.”
The sage said, “But I don’t need anything. I am so joyous, and I cannot conceive there can be anything more.
Forgive me, I cannot ask because I really don’t need anything. You are
generous, you are loving, you are compassionate; but l am so over-full, there is no space within me for anthing
God said, “I had thought that you would not ask, so don’t ask for yourself – but you can ask for others, because there are millions of people who are miserable, sick, have never known anything for which they can be grateful. can give you powers to do miracles, and you can change the lives of all these people.”
The sage said, “If you are insistent, then with a condition I can accept your gifts.”
God said, “With a condition? You really are strange. What is the condition?”
He said, “My condition is that I should not become aware of what is happening through me, by you. It should happen behind my back;

it should happen through my shadow, not through me. I may be passing and my shadow may fall on a dead tree, and the tree may become alive again – again lush green, again heavy with flowers and fruits – but I should not know it.

“If you can accept my condition, and remember that should not know at all. because I am so full of joy, so blissful.
Don’t drag me back into the miserable world. Don’t drag me back to become again an ‘I.’
And it is said that God said to him, “You are not only strange, you are unique and rare. And this will be so: you will never know what things are happening around you. Miracles will be happening around you – wherever you will go, miracles will happen. Neither those people will know that you have done those miracles, nor you will know that you have done those miracles. I will remember the condition.” Osho

Inspiration, shortstory

A man who had recently opened a shop had a large notice overhead which read FRESH FISH SOLD HERE. Along came a friend and said, “Why have you got ‘HERE’ on the board?” So he cut out the word ‘HERE’. Then another friend came along and said, “‘SOLD’? Of course it is sold. You are not giving it away, are you?” So out came the word ‘SOLD’.

A third came along and said, “‘FRESH FISH’? It has to be fresh. Who will buy stale fish from you? Cut out the word FRESH.”

The shopkeeper obliged. Now only the word ‘FISH’ remained on the board when a fourth man arrived and said, “‘FISH’? Fancy having that up! You can smell it a mile away.” The shopkeeper erased this last word on the board.

A fifth man arrived and said, “What’s the idea of hanging a blank board over the shop?” The shopkeeper removed the board.

A sixth man came on the scene and said, “You have opened such a big shop. Can’t you hang a board on it with a notice saying, ‘FRESH FISH SOLD HERE?’”

Now if you go on listening to people you will become more and more confused; that’s how you have become confused. Your confusion is this: that you have been listening to many kinds of people and they are all giving different advice. And I am not saying that they are not well-wishers; they are well-wishers, but not very conscious well-wishers, otherwise they would not give you advice. They would give you an insight, not advice. They would not tell you what to do and what not to do. They would help you to become more aware so that you can see yourself what has to be done and what has not to be done.

“I can’t understand how on earth I am healing when I’m in so much pain” the student asked her Teacher.

Image of Guru Rinpoche or Padmasambava.

With a stern expression and a deep husky voice the white haired Teacher answered.

“First it hurts you then it heals you”

“What is it?” she clenched her hands as a wave of pain gripped her.

“Old karma, repressed beliefs, trauma, fears. Everything you’ve buried in you for centuries. Don’t hold on to the pain memory. Let it go.”

“But what if the next pain hurts even more”

“Don’t let the fear of future pain paralyse you. You’ve survived this. You’ll survive the rest”

Teacher dusted his desk meticulously while the student pondered.

Outside Cajole was smiling and congratulating the new Partner in the law firm.

Inside she burned

The new partner was her junior. 2 years and 6 months to be exact. And this five foot nothing was so good at her game she gobbled up anyone else’s chances of rising up the ranks. Cajole dug her nails into her fists. Her french manicure blunted out the pain.

Seething with anger, her eyes became smouldering rocks.

A silent explosion took place.

In the middle of the office party celebrating the youngest and newest partner, no-one noticed the pile of ashes in the corner that were once Cajole. One person did say there was a bitter smell in the air.

“Only jealousy destroys the envious.”

Once a wise man held a seminar to teach people how to get rid of sorrows in their life. Many people gathered to hear the wise man’s words. The man entered the room and told a very funny joke to the crowd. The crowd roared in laughter.

After a couple of minutes he told them the same joke and only a few of them smiled.

When he told the same joke for the third time no one laughed anymore.

The wise man smiled and said,” You can’t laugh at the same joke over and over. So why do you cry over the same problem over and over?. Do something to change it. ”
